[Da Nang] Review of Altara Suite: A Budget-Friendly Hotel Near My Khe Beach, Perfect for Family Trips

by맹돌 2024. 10. 22. 23:20

Is there a hotel like this at this price?

During my trip to Da Nang, I stayed at a hotel that I was really satisfied with.

It’s none other than the Da Nang Altara Suite!

Unfortunately, I only stayed for one night, but the experience was so good that I wanted to share it with you all.

Da Nang Altara Suite is a 5-star hotel located next to My Khe Beach.

It’s about 10 minutes by car from Han Market and about 15 minutes from the airport.

By the way, it shares the same building as the Four Points Hotel.

There are two hotel lobbies on the 1st floor, so don’t get confused! The left lobby is for Altara Suites.

Room Introduction

I booked a 2-bedroom suite with a city view and was assigned a room on the 30th floor.

I made the reservation via Agoda in May for a June trip. It cost about 120$ per night.

Living Room

When I first entered the room, I was surprised by how spacious and clean the interior was.

It looked more like an ocean view than a city view! And when I turned on the TV, it was set to Korean,

so I wondered if the staff knew we were Korean and had prepared it in advance.

Kitchen & Washer

The room had a kitchen, but I didn’t plan to cook.

Still, it was equipped with a large refrigerator, microwave, and a 2-burner induction stove (or possibly a highlight stove). What I liked most was the washer and dryer!

They even provided detergent for two loads, making it super convenient.

However, the dryer didn’t work at first, so I contacted reception, and a repair technician came quickly to fix it.

If this had been checked beforehand, it would’ve been perfect, but it was a bit disappointing.

Bedroom

Since I was traveling with my parents, having two separate rooms was a huge advantage.

The king bed and single bed were more than enough for three people.

The bed was soft, and the bedding was really clean. Each room even had its own TV, making it three TVs in total, including the living room!

Bathroom

There were two bathrooms: one in the living room and another in the master bedroom.

Both bathrooms had glass doors separating the shower area, making it easy to keep the floor dry and clean.

The larger bathroom even had a bathtub, and the view from the bathroom was absolutely stunning.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool was a bit disappointing. The depth was too shallow for adults, not even reaching 1 meter.

However, it's heaven for kids! Although the pool itself wasn't very large, it was located on the 33rd floor,

and the view was absolutely stunning.

Unfortunately, there was an abandoned building visible from one side, which was a bit disappointing.

Next to the pool, there was a minibar where you could order drinks or alcoholic beverages.

I didn't get to use the gym or sauna, but I’d love to try them if I visit again with more time.

Breakfast

Unfortunately, I couldn't take photos of the breakfast menu, but the quality of the food was better than expected.

Given the affordable room rates and excellent room conditions, I thought there might be some downside.

But the food was quite good, and the view from the restaurant was fantastic.

Overall Review

Altara Suite had excellent room conditions for the price,

and the convenience of having a washer and dryer was a huge plus.

Although the shallow pool was a bit of a letdown, it’s still a great choice for families.

If I visit Da Nang again, I’d have a 100% intention to stay at Altara Suite Hotel. Highly recommended!
